This year has been interesting for me as an educator at Manheim Township Middle School. In addition to my responsibilities as an English teacher for 7th and 8th graders on the Lightning team, I took on the role as Team Leader and continued my roles as the Language Arts Content Specialist and as the Mobile Learning Committee Chairperson. I also made the decision to complete my Principal Certification Program through Edinboro University, and completed my Secondary Internship with Karen Evans. I was asked to help Jason Hoffman with his responsibilities with the Induction Program by doing observations of new teachers. I was also asked to work with Mike Lichtenwalner on the Open Campus Program and the course development for that program. In addition, I continued to work with Millersville's PDS program and hosted an intern for the year. Additionally, I was asked to participate on the Steering Committee. Dividing my time with my added responsibilities, while continuing to give my classes and my professional growth the time they deserved has been a rewarding challenge.

My professional goal for the school year was to work to integrate more technology in association with BYOD initiative being piloted at the Middle School as a result of the work of the Mobile Learning Committee.
